Who is responsible

This website is run by Tinashe Jera (Tinashe Jera Music). For anything about your personal information, email tjeramusic@gmail.com.

The contact form

When you send a message, your name, email address and message are passed to me by the website host, Netlify, so that I can reply. I keep messages only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

The shop

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this website. I receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so that I can deliver your files, keep tax and accounting records, and help if anything goes wrong. Your download link is emailed to you through Resend, an email delivery service. Order records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax.

Videos

Performance videos are played from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and only load when you press play.

The Meta pixel (only if you allow it)

I advertise my books on Facebook and Instagram. With your permission, a Meta (Facebook) pixel on this site tells Meta which pages you viewed, when you start a checkout and when you buy, including the product and price. This lets me measure whether my adverts work and show them to people likely to be interested. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you, under Meta’s privacy policy.

The pixel does not load unless you click Allow. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Your choice itself is stored in your browser so that I don’t ask again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it is used. Just email me. If you are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
